How much does it cost to have a bookcase assembled?
Rocket Services charges $99/hr for one technician with a one-hour minimum, or $129/hr for two. One or two standard bookcases usually fit in the first hour. Large wall units take longer. Mileage is $1 per round-trip mile from Aurora.
Should a tall bookshelf be anchored to the wall?
Yes. A tall bookcase loaded with books can tip if someone pulls on a shelf or climbs it. Rocket Services does not anchor furniture to walls, so the crew leaves the included anti-tip kit with you to install before the shelves are loaded.
Why is my bookcase wobbly after assembly?
Usually the back panel was fastened while the frame was out of square, or cam locks were not fully turned. An assembler can loosen the back, square the frame and refasten it, and tighten the cams. The work is billed at the same hourly rate.
Can you assemble cube storage organizers too?
Yes. Cube organizers and shelves with fabric bins are built the same way as bookcases, with panels, cams and dowels. Several can often be finished in one visit, and any anti-tip hardware for taller cube units is left with you to install.
