How much is the deposit to book moving help?
The minimum hours at the booked rate, plus any supplies and the estimated mileage. It's due at booking to confirm the reservation and must be paid no later than 72 hours before the job; a request without a paid deposit doesn't hold the time, so the slot can go to another customer. For example, 2 helpers at $149 per hour means a $298 deposit plus mileage. A hold authorization is placed before the job, and the final amount is billed when the job is complete.
Do I pay for the full reserved time if my move finishes early?
Yes. Billing covers the full reserved time block, even if the job finishes early. For reservations longer than the minimum, up to one hour of unused time is refunded. For example, if 5 hours are reserved and the crew finishes in 4, the unused hour is refunded. The 2-hour minimum still applies to every hourly job.
Is there a military, first responder or senior discount?
Yes. Military members and veterans, first responders (police, firefighters and EMTs) and seniors 65+ get 5% off hourly work. It's one discount per job, applied on the invoice, and it doesn't apply to supplies, rentals or mileage. Show ID at booking or on the job; there's no online code. Are there any hidden fees?
No. The hourly rate, mileage ($1 per round-trip mile from Aurora 80017), stairs ($20 per flight after the first), same-day jobs (+$79) and after-hours work (+20% before 7 AM, after 7 PM or past 8 hours) are all published at rocketservicesllc.com/pricing. Supplies and protection add-ons are billed only when you add them. There's no charge for a truck, no trip fee and no weekend surcharge.
How is mileage charged?
At $1 per round-trip mile from the Aurora base (80017), on every job from the first mile. There are no free miles and no trip fee. For example, a job 20 miles away is 40 round-trip miles, or $40. The hourly clock starts when the crew arrives, so the drive itself isn't billed as labor.
