Join Our Crew: Moving Helper Jobs in Aurora and Denver
Hiring is ongoing. Part-time W-2 jobs with flexible shifts.
Rocket Services is on a mission to make moving as smooth as a rocket launch. We hire part-time moving helpers across the Denver metro and the Front Range who are friendly, hard-working and careful with people's homes. You're a W-2 employee, not a contractor: taxes are withheld, and you're covered by our workers' compensation insurance.
What You'll Do
• Customer service: be friendly, courteous and attentive, and bring special requests or concerns to your team leader.
• Moving furniture: carry furniture and household items carefully and efficiently, protecting them and the home.
• Packing and unpacking: pack and unpack items securely to prevent damage.
• Furniture assembly: take furniture apart and put it back together, keeping pieces and hardware together.
• Safe handling: use pads, wrap and the right tools, especially for fragile and valuable items.
• Keeping track: make sure every item is accounted for and labeled during the job.
Jobs include loading and unloading rental trucks, PODS and storage units, in-home moves, clean outs and event setup. You won't drive a company truck. Pay is hourly, plus customer tips.
How It Works
• Part-time W-2 with Rocket Services: you're hired directly, never as a 1099 contractor, after a background check.
• Flexible schedule: tell us the days and times you can work, and we schedule you around them.
• Jobs can run long: jobs are scheduled for a set number of hours but sometimes take longer, so tell us before you accept a shift if you need to leave by a certain time.
• Room to grow: hard-working helpers with experience can move up to team leader.
What You Need
• 18 or older, and able to pass a background check
• Able to safely lift 50+ lb and stay on your feet for a full shift
• Reliable transportation to job sites across the metro
• A positive attitude, teamwork and clear communication
• Attention to detail, good judgment and safety first
• Able to use hand tools for furniture assembly
• English for crew communication; Spanish is a plus
What to wear: a plain white, grey, black or blue top (no muscle shirts), neutral jeans or shorts with a belt, and non-slip shoes. Tie back long hair, and dress for the weather. What to bring: work gloves, a water bottle and a towel.
On the job: clock in with your team leader, keep your phone away except for emergencies, follow the team leader's lead, and never ask customers for tips. Crews work 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 days a week.
