How much does it cost to clean out a closed restaurant?
Restaurant clean outs are billed hourly, starting at $149/hr for two helpers with a 2-hour minimum. Full-service restaurants with kitchens often need three or four helpers at $199/hr or $269/hr. List coolers, freezers and large equipment when you call so the crew size fits.
Can the crew carry out restaurant kitchen equipment?
Yes, freestanding equipment that is already disconnected can be carried out, including coolers, freezers, prep tables and shelving. The crew does not disconnect gas lines, hoods or plumbing. Anything hard-wired or plumbed in should be disconnected by a licensed professional before the scheduled visit.
Will the crew take used fryer oil or grease?
No. Oils, grease, chemicals and unsealed liquids are on the prohibited list. Arrange a grease service to empty fryers and traps before the clean out. Equipment should be drained and wiped down so it can be carried out without spills.
Can restaurant furniture be donated instead of thrown away?
Clean, usable tables, chairs and smallwares are set aside for you to donate or sell. Damaged or heavily worn pieces go to your dumpster or the curb. If you plan to sell furniture to another restaurant, tag those pieces before the crew arrives.
