How much does it cost to clean out a retail store?
Retail clean outs are billed hourly, from $149/hr for two helpers or $269/hr for four, with a 2-hour minimum. Small boutiques with a few racks and tables take less time than larger stores with gondola shelving and stockrooms. A walkthrough or photos let the dispatcher recommend the most efficient crew size.
Can the crew take down store shelving?
Freestanding shelving, gondola units and racks that come apart with hand tools can be taken down and carried to your dumpster or the curb. Fixtures anchored to walls or floors need to be confirmed before booking, since removing installed fixtures goes beyond a standard clean out. Tell the dispatcher how the shelving is attached when requesting a quote.
What happens to leftover store inventory?
Unsold goods that are clean and in good condition are set aside for you to donate, sell or return. Everything else goes to your dumpster or the curb. Products like aerosols, paint, chemicals, batteries and fuel are not handled. If you plan to liquidate or return stock to a supplier, pull it before the crew arrives.
Can a store clean out be done after closing time?
Yes, after-close and early morning slots can be booked, subject to availability. Crews typically work up to 8 hours or until 7 PM. Many shopping centers limit when the back door or dock can be used, so confirm those hours before choosing a time.
