How much does it cost to clear out old school furniture?
School clean outs are billed hourly, from $149/hr for two helpers with a 2-hour minimum. A single storage room of desks and chairs takes less time than a multi-room project. A room list with rough counts helps the dispatcher recommend a crew size and estimate the total.
Can a school clean out be scheduled during summer break?
Yes, summer and holiday breaks are the most common times for school clean outs, and booking two to four weeks ahead improves the odds of getting preferred dates. After-school slots can also be scheduled, subject to availability, with crews typically working until 7 PM at the latest.
What happens to old classroom desks and chairs?
Clean, usable desks, chairs and tables are set aside for donation or your district's surplus process. Broken furniture goes to your dumpster or the curb. If your district has its own surplus process, tag those items so they stay separate.
Will Rocket Services remove science lab supplies?
Chemicals, batteries, paint, medical waste and other hazardous materials are not handled. Lab supplies like those should go through the district's hazardous waste process. Empty lab benches that are freestanding, glassware boxes and non-hazardous equipment can be carried out.
