This page explains when Rocket Services asks for a waiver of liability, what it covers and how to sign it.
When a Waiver Is Needed
Most jobs don't need one. The team leader asks for a waiver only when a task is outside our standard moving help and carries extra risk, for example:
- A very heavy item, such as a safe or a piece over 300 lb
- A piece that may not fit through a door, hallway or stairwell without risk
- Handling an item a special way the customer asks for, when the crew sees a risk
- Any other task the team leader flags before starting it
What You Agree To
- You understand the task can cause property damage, structural damage or injury.
- You accept those risks for that task and release Rocket Services LLC from claims tied to it.
- There is no guarantee the item will stay free from damage.
- You were offered other options, such as more helpers or equipment, and chose to go ahead.
The waiver covers only the task written on it. The rest of your job is still covered by the Service Agreement and the Claims Policy.
How to Sign
The team leader describes the task, and you add photos of the item and the space. Fill in your name, email and the service address, sign at the bottom of the form and press Submit. The office keeps a copy with your job records.
