3. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Accurately describe your needs. (See Appendix A for full details.)
- Ensure all service locations are accessible and safe.
- Be present or designate an authorized representative during services.
- Review, sign, and comply with all terms (including additional terms in the Appendices).
- Provide Booking Deposit: To secure your service, a deposit is required before we begin. For hourly services, the deposit covers the minimum booked time, which depends on the service and the number of helpers, plus any supplies, rentals, the truck fee, and estimated mileage; for fixed‑fee services, the full flat fee (plus any supplies or rentals) is the deposit. The deposit is invoiced after this Agreement is signed and is due 72 hours before the service date. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with all the details. Please review your confirmation carefully to ensure that we have the correct information on file.
For complete details, see Appendix A: Detailed Client Responsibilities.
4. Company Responsibilities
We will:
- Confirm service details and arrival times.
- Provide professional, background‑checked helpers and appropriate equipment.
- Use industry‑standard methods to protect your property and items.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑service inspections with you.
For complete details, see Appendix B: Detailed Company Responsibilities.
5. Scope of Services
Our services include (but are not limited to):
- Packing & Unpacking: Providing packing using your supplies or supplies purchased from us; labeling items; and noting “Packed by Owner” items.
- Loading/Unloading/Moving: Safe loading, transport, and unloading with options for additional assistance. Labor‑only services (your truck, container, or POD) do not include blankets, wrap, straps, padding, or locks; these may be purchased as supplies.
- Additional Services: Furniture assembly/disassembly, TV mounting, picture and art hanging, appliance connection/disconnection, etc.
- Junk Removal/Clean Out & Cleaning: Removing unwanted items and deep cleaning as needed.
- Courier, Delivery, Hauling & Transport: Secure, trackable transport of packages and large items.
- Expedited Delivery Options: Hot Shot, Mid‑Mile, Last‑Mile, and LTL services for urgent needs (priced as Hot Shot).
For complete details, see Appendix C: Detailed Scope of Services.
6. Insurance, Liability & Coverage Options
- Standard (Released Value Protection, the Released Value Option under Colorado PUC Rule 6608): Minimal coverage at no extra cost: the lesser of $0.60 per pound per item or the item’s depreciated value.
- Full Value Protection (FVP), the Full Replacement Cost Option under Colorado PUC Rule 6608: Comprehensive coverage available for an additional fee; must be selected 72 hours in advance.
- Third‑Party Insurance: Recommended for high‑value or fragile items. Clients who wish to protect high-value or fragile items beyond the limits of our standard or full value protection are encouraged to obtain third-party insurance coverage prior to their service date.
For complete details, see Appendix D: Detailed Insurance Coverage, Liability & Coverage Options.
7. Service Execution & Completion
Upon the completion of our services, Rocket Services LLC will conduct a final walkthrough with the Client. The following conditions apply:
- Delivery and Inspection: The Client acknowledges that all items have been safely delivered and that the property and moving vehicle have been inspected. If the Client chooses not to inspect the truck and the delivery site before the crew leaves, the Client gives up any claim that an item was missing or left behind.
- Inspection Recommendation: The Client is strongly encouraged to carefully inspect all delivered items and property—especially electronics (e.g., TVs), walls, floors, and other surfaces—before the service concludes, so that any concerns can be identified and addressed immediately.
- Item Removal and Disposal: The Client confirms that all items intended for removal have been verified and that only these items have been taken. The Client authorizes Rocket Services LLC to dispose of removed items through dumping, resale, recycling, or donation at the Company’s sole discretion.
- Final Acknowledgment: By accepting our services, the Client confirms that all services have been performed to a satisfactory standard and that the charges on the invoice are accurate. Upon completion, the Client releases Rocket Services LLC from any further liability related to the service. The only exceptions are visible damage noted at the final walkthrough and concealed damage claimed within 7 days, as described below and in the Claims Policy.
- Reporting of Issues and Claims: Visible damage, meaning damage that can be seen during the final walkthrough (such as to furniture, walls, floors, or doors), must be reported to the team leader and noted before the crew leaves; visible damage that is not noted at that time cannot be claimed later. Concealed damage, meaning damage inside packed boxes or not reasonably visible at the walkthrough, must be submitted as a formal claim within 7 days of the service date, subject to the requirements outlined in our Claims Policy. If Colorado or federal law requires a longer period than stated here, the period required by law at that time applies. Rocket Services LLC will document any reported issues using timestamped photographs and, if necessary, contact the Client for additional details.
- Review: Upon receipt of your completed claim form and required documentation, Rocket Services LLC will review your claim within 7–10 business days. We may contact you for additional information if needed.
- Dispute Resolution: Any unresolved issues will be addressed through mediation or binding arbitration per Colorado law. In any dispute about the amount charged or about lost or damaged goods, Rocket Services LLC will offer the Client the opportunity to participate in binding arbitration under C.R.S. § 40-10.1-507 and Colorado PUC Rule 6609.
For complete details, see Appendix E: Detailed Claims Process & Dispute Resolution.
8. Scheduling, Logistics & Time Management
- Arrival Windows & Weather: We strive for a two‑hour arrival window; unsafe weather may cause rescheduling.
- Completion Time Disclaimer: Rocket Services LLC will make every effort to complete services as efficiently as possible; however, we do not guarantee a specific completion time. Actual service duration may vary based on factors such as weather, access limitations, traffic, and unforeseen circumstances.
- Breaks & Time Extensions: Our team takes short paid rest breaks as required by Colorado law; on services longer than 5 hours, the team also takes an unpaid 30–60 minute meal break, which is not billed. Additional service time may be billed as needed.
- Tolls & Parking: Tolls and paid parking are charged at cost only when you request a toll route or paid parking, plus a $2 processing fee per toll.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling: Once your booking is confirmed, you may reschedule your service up to two times at no charge provided you notify us at least 72 hours in advance. Changes to crew size, truck, or add-ons also require at least 72 hours’ notice.
Cancellation Policy:
- If cancelled 48 or more hours before the service, a processing fee of $25 or 3% of the booking, whichever is greater, applies; no other service charge applies.
- If cancelled between 24 and 48 hours before the service, a charge equivalent to two hours at the booked rate (or half the flat fee) will apply.
- If cancelled less than 24 hours before the service, the full time reserved for your booking will be charged at the hourly rate or the full service price will be charged.
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing (via the Change or Cancel Request Form, text, or email) and must be acknowledged by our team during business hours. A $75 no-show fee applies if no one is at the location when the crew arrives.
