Detailed Client Responsibilities
Appendix A
September 28, 2026 at 9:02:47 PM
This Appendix explains, in detail, the responsibilities you have as the Client when using Rocket Services LLC’s services. Please read it carefully. By accepting our services, you confirm that you understand and agree to comply with the following:
1. Requesting Services & Providing Information
- Complete & Accurate Information:
- When booking, you must describe your service needs as accurately as possible. This includes details such as the number and types of items to be moved, specific service locations, any anticipated obstacles (e.g., narrow doorways, stairs, elevator restrictions), and special instructions (e.g., fragile items or valuable belongings).
- Inaccurate or incomplete information may result in delays, additional charges, or even cancellation of services.
- Independent Planning:
- It is your responsibility to research and decide on the appropriate services for your move. For example, determine the truck size, the amount of labor needed, and whether additional protection (such as extra insurance) is required.
- Review any estimates provided carefully. Please note that all initial estimates are non-binding and subject to change based on actual conditions.
2. Representations & Legal Authority
- Eligibility:
- You represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal right to request and authorize moving services at all designated locations.
- Authorization:
- You confirm that you or an authorized representative has the right to grant access to the property and service areas.
- Should any third parties be involved (such as building management, HOA, or landlords), you must secure any necessary permissions or permits before service begins.
3. Preparation of Service Areas and Items
- Service Area Readiness:
- Ensure that all areas where services will be provided (e.g., homes, offices, storage units) are prepared and safe. This means:
- Clearing pathways and walkways of obstacles.
- Arranging for any necessary elevator reservations or securing access (e.g., parking permits).
- Removing any items you do not want moved or handled (such as personal documents, jewelry, or other valuables).
- Ensure that all areas where services will be provided (e.g., homes, offices, storage units) are prepared and safe. This means:
- Item Preparation:
- Please prepare your items for moving. For example:
- Disassemble large furniture if you prefer or if instructed.
- Pack your belongings securely if you choose to pack them yourself. (Items labeled “Packed by Owner” are covered only when the box shows outside damage from our crew’s handling, and then at Released Value Protection, 60 cents per pound.)
- Clearly label boxes, especially those containing fragile or high-value items.
- Please prepare your items for moving. For example:
- Special Items:
- Inform us ahead of time about any items of extraordinary value or fragile items that require special care. We strongly recommend you arrange separate insurance or personal handling for such items.
4. On-Site Presence and Supervision
- Designated Representative:
- You (or a trusted, authorized agent) must be present during the service. This person will:
- Provide clear instructions to our team.
- Verify that items are handled and loaded/unloaded correctly.
- Complete the final walk-through and sign off on the services rendered.
- You (or a trusted, authorized agent) must be present during the service. This person will:
- Customer Participation: If the Client, or anyone assisting the Client, helps carry, load, unload, or move items during the service, Rocket Services LLC cannot determine who caused any resulting damage. In that case, Rocket Services LLC is not liable for damage to items or property during that service, except damage that our crew caused and that was reported to and acknowledged by the team leader at the time it occurred.
- Emergency Contact:
- Provide current contact details or an emergency contact person in case we need to reach you quickly during the service.
5. Final Walk-Through & Post-Service Responsibilities
- Inspection & Sign-Off:
- After the move, you are responsible for conducting a final inspection of all items and the service area. This is your opportunity to:
- Confirm that all services have been performed to your satisfaction.
- Note any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Once you sign the completion form, you are acknowledging that the services were rendered as agreed (subject to the claims process described elsewhere in this Agreement).
- After the move, you are responsible for conducting a final inspection of all items and the service area. This is your opportunity to:
- Reporting Issues:
- If you discover any issues or damage, you must report them in writing within the timeframe specified in the Main Agreement and our Claims Process (see Appendix E for details).
6. Communication & Changes
- Keeping Us Informed:
- Should any changes occur—such as a change in the service location, additional items being added, or any changes in accessibility—you must notify us as soon as possible.
- Prompt communication helps us adjust and ensure that services continue without unnecessary delay or extra cost.
- Reviewing & Confirming Details:
- Please review all communications (such as booking confirmations, inventory lists, and final checklists) to ensure that they accurately reflect your instructions and the agreed-upon services.
7. Insurance and Additional Coverage Considerations
- Insurance Review:
- We encourage you to review your personal insurance policies (homeowner’s or renter’s insurance) to understand what is covered during your move.
- If you have items of significant value or sentiment that require extra protection, please consider obtaining additional insurance or inform us so we can discuss the available cargo liability options (as detailed in Appendix D and the Insurance Coverage Selection section of your booking confirmation).
8. General Obligations
- Compliance:
- You agree to comply with all terms of this Agreement and these detailed responsibilities.
- Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may lead to delays, additional charges, or cancellation of services.
- Acknowledgment:
- By booking and accepting our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these responsibilities as part of the complete service Agreement.
