U-Pack Loading Guide: ReloCubes and Trailers, From Our PODS Loading Help Denver Crews
Quick answer: U-Pack offers ReloCubes (steel cubes about 6 ft 3 in long, 7 ft wide and 8 ft 4 in tall, roughly one room each) and a moving trailer where you pay for the space you use. Either way, load tight and to the ceiling, heaviest first, and stay inside U-Pack's loading window. 2 Rocket Services helpers are $149/hr with a 2-hour minimum.
ReloCube or trailer?
Every move is different, but as a guide:
ReloCubes: good for smaller moves, about one room per cube.
Trailer: good for bigger homes; you pay for the linear feet you fill, so a tight load saves money.
Check U-Pack's current sizes, weight limits and how many days you have to load.
How to load U-Pack
Heaviest pieces first, against the front wall of the trailer or the back of the cube.
Build tight tiers floor to ceiling and wall to wall.
On a trailer, finish with a flat, braced wall so the divider fits snugly.
Use blankets and straps; long-distance loads ride for days.
Keep a list of what's in each cube in case you unload in stages.
Unloading at the other end
Rocket Services loads in the Denver area. If you're moving out of state, book separate helpers in your new city to unload.
How many helpers?
2 helpers load most 1 to 2-bedrooms in about 3 to 4 hours; larger homes go faster with 3 or 4. Every job is unique, so the office confirms the crew when you book.
