Can I hire helpers just to load my rental truck?
Yes. Rocket Services offers labor-only helpers who load the truck you rented. Two helpers start at $149/hr with a 2-hour minimum. You keep the truck reservation, and the crew handles the lifting and stacking. Unloading at the other end can be booked too.
How do I pick the right size rental truck for my move?
As a rule of thumb, a 10 to 12 foot truck fits a studio or 1BR, 14 to 17 feet fits a 1BR home or 2BR apartment, and 20 to 26 feet fits 2 to 3BR homes and larger. A tight, professional load can sometimes fit into the smaller size.
Do helpers bring their own straps and blankets for a rental truck?
Pads and wrapping are not included on labor-only jobs unless arranged in advance. Check what your rental includes, then add blankets at $15 each or ratchet straps at $24 each to your booking if needed.
How long does it take to load a rental truck?
A 1-bedroom apartment usually takes about 3 to 4 hours to move, and a 3-bedroom house 6 to 8 hours, including loading and unloading. Loading alone is shorter. More helpers finish faster, which helps when the truck has a return deadline.
